Ambassadors to the World: Ms. World Ambassador 2007 - 2008

ANNASTASIA ANDERSON

Annastasia Anderson was a Fellow delegate in the Ambassadors to the World® program and was honored with the opportunity to
become Ms. World Ambassador 2007 competition. (Nov. 2006.)  She was very excited to represent the world and the
Ambassadorial Society of America with the Ms. World Ambassador title, as the International spokesperson for the Society, and
utilized the opportunity it brought.  Annastasia  was recently awarded the World Supermodel  title by Supermodels unlimited
magazine.

These titles have opened the door to many opportunities such as, becoming a news co-host for Pageant Talk International on Voice
America.  She was honored to be a part of this wonderful, International broadcast and team.  She is now expanding upon the recent
opportunities presented to her and is moving on to new endeavors.   She is the mother of two beautiful children, Angelina (6) and
Brett (11).  Annastasia attended Georgia Southern University and the University of Northern Iowa where she majored in Art
Education and Psychology. Annastasia is now a commercial artist (in her spare time), small business owner, non- profit
organization founder/CEO, make-up artist, professional model (for 12 years/print, runway and commercials), pageant coach and
certified image consultant and is a special needs caretaker for autistic and deaf children, a youth mentor, a marketing rep and,
most importantly, is an International Domestic-Sexual Abuse Ambassador.

Annastasia is very active in her community.  Volunteerism and community service have been a big part of her life.  Her activities
have ranged from volunteering with the elderly and teaching Sunday school, to teaching art workshops to children.  Volunteering
has brought her much joy, but none greater than serving as a speaker/advocate for abused women and children.  She traveled
extensively throughout the U.S in the past year and a half and has continued to do so, as well as, other countries, throughout her
2006 US and 2007 World reign, speaking out on their behalf.  She is continuing to do so with her World Ambassador Supermodel
2008 title in her new endeavors.

As a survivor of abuse, she understands the importance of having someone to advocate for you.  Her life experiences have made
her aware; more than ever, how greatly children are affected by abuse, even indirectly. For these reasons, she strives to keep our
women and children “Safe at Home”.  Working with a myriad of organizations serves this purpose best.   She tries to teach that
there is no shame in “bringing out” abuse into the open.

Annastasia believes that placement must go hand-in-hand with behavioral modification to break the vicious cycle of violence.
Therefore, she created a non-profit, “Butterfly Kisses”, that works with a multitude of organizations to change the face of abuse by
releasing the butterfly within.  She actively advocates the incorporation of this program worldwide. She has partnered with a plastic
surgeon to help reverse the physical scars of abuse,  is in the process of trying to partner with a dentist to provide new smiles to
those in need, and has partnered with a life coach, as well, to aid in the healing process.  Annastasia has risen over $86,000 for this
cause and her County Commissioner has endorsed her efforts for youth.

Honors and awards are not new to Annastasia.  In High School, she was named in Who’s Who for academics (top 5% of the nation)
and was honored by the Mayor for her suggestions to encourage youth to get more involved with Government.  She was also a State
speech winner and was chosen to be in several musicals.  In College, she was elected University of Northern Iowa’s Greek
Publications Chair and was chosen to be one of Georgia Southern’s theatrical costume designers.

Today, she stays involved with her art and has received many vocal and art awards and is a published columnist.  She is also a
recipient of honorary Jump Wings.  She was honored as “In the Spirit of Youth” Role Model of the Year (2004) for her outstanding
contribution.  She was awarded the Spirit of Excellence award for community service efforts and will be featured in an upcoming
issue of a national Magazine as a “hero” for children.  Annastasia was inducted into the Ambassadorial Society of America as a
fellow of the arts and entertainment and was the recipient of the World Ambassador ® award.

Annastasia recently returned from a volunteer  mission, in January 2008, focusing on the region of Greece, beginning on the island
of Crete, the foundation and begging of Greece,  to broaden her horizons by immersing herself in the language/culture and helping at-
risk women and children. On behalf of the World competition and its sponsor, The Ambassadorial Society of America, she has been
invited to countries, such as Mexico, Vietnam and Africa.  She also visited the Navajo Nation, located in Arizona, as a special guest
to the first lady and President representing Walking the Healing Path non-profit organization as an International spokesperson, to
help with several charitable efforts. She was appointed “Head Parent” at her son’s school, and is writing a children’s book focusing
on anger management issues for the young.  She helped with the initial fundraising for “Queens on a Mission” (a team organized to
raise funds for charitable causes) and appeared on their behalf.  Her story is currently in the works of being published, as well.
In her spare time, she likes to spend time with her children/family, learn sign language and Spanish, dance (Merengue/Bachatta-
Latin dance styles), collect Catwoman, bargain shop interior decorate and watch Mixed Martial Arts Competitions.
