DAWNA LEE HEISING, MBA, Ph.D.
Dawna Heising is a loving wife to Paul and the mother of two beautiful daughters, Marissa and Misty. Paul is a Certified Financial
Planner and is a Partner with Moran, Kimura and Heising, Inc. Marissa is a Business Representative with Sanofi-Aventis and Misty is a
medical student at the Albany Medical College in New York. She is a member of the National Mental Health Association to learn more
about Misty’s future profession as a psychiatrist. Dawna is currently a Fellow and World Ambassador of Business and Technology.
Dawna is a member of the Screen Actors Guild and was a member of the Friends and Artists Theatre and a swimsuit model for many
years. Among other roles, she has appeared on Fantasy Island, the New Gidget, Jagged Edge, Blade Runner and Magnum P.I. Today,
she works in Marketing and Public Relations for SYSPRO Software, an international Enterprise Resource Planning company.
She has a B.S. in Business Management and MBA from Pepperdine University, and a Ph.D. in Business Management from Pacific
Western University. She's listed in Who's Who of American Women and Who's Who in Technology.
Dawna has a personal interest in cardiovascular disease because her grandfather had heart disease and her aunt and uncle died from
strokes. Dawna is a member of the American Heart Association and the organization’s Red Dress program for women. She is working
with the Heart Gala and Heart Walk fund-raising programs in her area and gives speeches to local organizations. She is a member of
the Heart Gala Planning Committee for the 2007 event. She finds it very rewarding to educate others about the risk factors and warning
signals of cardiovascular disease and helping them to empower themselves and their families.
Dawna and her husband are very achievement-oriented but they’ve tried to teach their daughters that good character ethics are the keys
to success. Her children know that they can achieve anything that they want to if they’re willing to work hard enough, but that they need to
do it with honesty, integrity and humility. They are very proud of their children because they are successful, but more importantly that they
are good people and try to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
Dawna’s husband Paul is a giant in the food marketing arena. He was a Vice President of Sales and Marketing for ConAgra where he
helped to introduce the Healthy Choice food line and at Bayer where he helped to introduce Flavored Alka Seltzer. Some years ago, Paul
was the General Manager for a large food company that relocated to another state. Paul decided to put his Certified Financial Planning
(CFP) license to work and started Moran, Kimura & Heising, LLC, with his two Partners, Rich Moran and Alex Kimura. Dawna helped to
set up his financial seminars at Santa Monica College and UCLA while working full-time as a Marketing Director herself. Dawna is
happy to report that today Paul's business is very successful and his Senior Partner, Rich Moran, has been selected as a Top 20 CFP in
California and Top 100 CFP in America by Worth Magazine for the last six years.
Dawna believes that her positive outlook, achievement-oriented personality and her ability to overcome obstacles are reasons why she
would be a contributing member to the Ambassadorial Society. She is proud of her husband and daughters and has always helped
them to achieve their goals while continually setting new goals to achieve for herself. She believes that it is very important to contribute to
society and strive to make the world a better place to live in for everyone. Winners in life know that when we help others to succeed, we
experience success ourselves.
Dawna would like to be perceived as a devoted wife and mother, a goal-oriented technology and public relations professional and as a
strong advocate for the American Heart Association, who works hard to educate the public about the dangers of cardiovascular disease.
