1 What are the rules and guidelines in Submissions?

In No Instances will Plagiarism be tolerated or allowed.
Nominees will be eliminated from the review process immediately.
Nominees must have Good Moral Character.
Nominees agree that if selected as  an Ambassador, he or she will participate in promoting the Ambassadorial Society and the Society's goals and ideals.
Ambassadors must have on-going projects that reflect their philanthropic goals.

2. What are the requirements for AMBASSADORS TO THE WORLD CANDIDATES?

ALL AMBASSADORS agree UNCONDITIONALLY AND FOREVER to release any claim against and hold harmless the Ambassadorial Society or its officers, directors, employees, agents, subsidiaries, assigns or corporate parents, which the Nominee and Ambassador may
have, by virtue of participation in the Ambassadorial Society or any use of his or her name, likeness, voice, biographical information, including use in promotional advertising materials.
Ambassadors must be of high moral character, and should this found to be untrue will the Ambassador or Nominee be summarily expelled.
Ambassadors who flagrantly utilize their titles in an inappropriate manner will be summarily expelled.
Disputes among Ambassadors will be resolved by the governing body.
The Ambassadors will adhere to the guidance and resolution of the governing body.
Failure to adhere to guidance and regulations by the governing body either verbally or written will cause disciplinary actions which may result in the expulsion of either the Ambassador or the Nominee.
The Universe, International, and World award is trademarked and cannot be used for any purposes without the authorization of the governing body.
The Coat of Arms for the Society is registered and cannot be used for any purposes without the authorization of the governing body.
Violation of the code of conduct or the Golden Rule will result in disciplinary actions which may result in the expulsion of either the Ambassador or Nominee.
Ambassadors agree to the following RELEASE WAIVER and ASSUMPTION OF RISK: I, for myself, my heirs, next of kin, personal representatives and assigns, hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue the Ambassadorial Society, its members, successors and
assigns, as well as organizers of Ambassadorial Society events or activities. I agree to hold all aforementioned individuals harmless from all liability, loss, claims, demands, possible causes of action, court costs, attorneys’ fees and other expenses arising from any lawsuit that
may otherwise accrue from any negligence, loss, damage or injury (including death) to my person or property in any way resulting from, or arising from any Ambassadorial Society event or activity, including travel to and from club events or activities.  I know the risk and
danger to myself and property, both from known risk and unanticipated risk, while participating or assisting in Ambassadorial Society events or activities, and I do so voluntarily and in reliance, not upon the property, equipment, facilities and existing conditions furnished by
others, but upon my own judgment and ability, and I thereby assume all risk of loss, damage or injury (including death) to myself and my property from any cause whatsoever and whether or not attributable to the negligence of others.  By undergoing the nomination and
review process, and accepting the membership of the Ambassadorial Society, I and my parents (any minor under 18 years of age)  to both the ASSUMPTION OF RISK and RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY clause stated above.

3. What is the Code of Conduct?

Commitment to ethical and professional conduct is expected of every member (voting members, associate members, and foreign members) of the Society.
Adhere to the Golden Rule.
Contribute to society and human well-being.
Adhere to the principle concerning the quality of life of all people affirming an obligation to protect fundamental human rights and to respect the diversity of all cultures.
Minimize negative consequences of actions, including threats to health and safety.
Members will be socially responsible, will meet social needs, and will avoid harmful effects to health and welfare.
Avoid harm to others.
Be honest and trustworthy.
Be fair and take action not to discriminate.
Adhere to the values of equality, tolerance, respect for others, and the principles of equal justice govern this Society.
Discrimination on the basis of race, sex, religion, age, disability, national origin, or other such factors is an explicit violation of Society policy and will not be tolerated.
Honor property rights including trademarks, copyrights and patents.
Give proper credit for intellectual property.
Respect the privacy of others.
Honor confidentiality.
Strive to achieve the highest quality, effectiveness and dignity in both the process and products of professional and public works.
Strive for Excellence
Continue to acquire and maintain professional competence.
Know and respect existing laws pertaining to professional and public works.
Accept and provide appropriate professional reviews.
Honor contracts, agreements, and assigned responsibilities.
Articulate social responsibilities of members of an organizational unit and encourage full acceptance of those responsibilities.
Acknowledge and support proper and authorized uses of the Society's resources.
Articulate and support policies that protect the dignity of others.
Uphold and promote the principles of this Code.
Treat violations of this code as inconsistent with membership in the Ambassadorial Society.
Adherence of members to this code of ethics is NOT a voluntary matter. If a member does not follow this code by engaging in gross misconduct, membership may be terminated.

Adherence to all regulations set forth by the Ambassadorial Society of America will be followed by those participating in the Ambassadorial Society of America.
By virtue of participation, each member agrees to abide by all regulations and decisions handed down by the Governing Body of the Ambassadorial Society of America.

4. Will my updated portfolio be returned?

No.  Portfolios will not be returned.
Portfolios will remain the property of the Society and archived.
Petitions for increasing a member's Fellowship level will be compared to that member's past portfolios.
Much consideration must be taken into reviewing each nominee's submission.
This is not a pageant or a beauty contest.  Peer review in various disciplines are required.
Portfolios are carefully considered and will NOT be returned.  (Please Submission Guidelines at www.universeambassador.org.)
Portfolios will be archived at the Society's headquarters.
It is an honor to nominated by someone who thinks extremely highly of the nominee, and thus all recommendations must be carefully scrutinized.

5. How do I submit a portfolio?

Please have Nomination Form in Front with a Letter of Recommendation from Nominator.
Submit ONLY COPIES of any Transcripts, Certificates, and other Important Documents as your portfolio will not be returned.
Submissions that are messy or disjointed are usually not reviewed favorably.
In No Instances will Plagiarism be tolerated or allowed.
Any false or untrue statements or behavior will result in termination of review.
Portfolio should be divided into the following suggested sections: Updated Professional, Articles Published, Community Service (include Clippings, Articles, Photos), Education (Include copies of certificates and transcripts), Personal Achievements, Challenges and on going
projects, and NEW Recommendations (at least 3 - one from a state, national, and international organization).
Portfolio should include one biographical summary and picture that may be placed on the AMBASSADORS TO THE WORLD®  website.
